Getting started
How Do Prescriptions Work With WheelHouse Health Telehealth?
How new prescriptions and refills work after a telehealth visit, how they reach your pharmacy and which medicines need an in-person visit.

How it works
- We review your symptoms, history and current medicines.
- If medicine is the right choice, we explain benefits, side effects and alternatives.
- We send the prescription electronically to your pharmacy.
- You get instructions in the patient portal.

Refills
- Request refills through the patient portal a week before you run out.
- Long-term medicines need regular reviews and sometimes labs.
- Members can message us about side effects or dose questions.
Medicines with extra rules
Controlled substances (such as some pain, anxiety, sleep and ADHD medicines) are regulated by federal and state law, and telehealth prescribing rules continue to change. We follow current rules and will tell you if an in-person visit is needed.

Saving money
We can suggest generic options and discount programs. Ask your pharmacist about cash prices too, which are sometimes lower than insurance copays.
