Our Story
WheelHouse Health is a patient-centered practice founded by an independently practicing nurse practitioner in Northern Virginia, with one goal: a more thoughtful and accessible way to deliver care.
Where it began
What front-line care taught us
Our founder, Lydia M. Wheeler, NP-C, spent years in a busy state-level healthcare setting, caring for people with wounds, chronic conditions, skin concerns and home-based primary care needs.
One lesson came up again and again. Patients value consistency, responsiveness and personal attention, yet often struggle to find them. Short visits, long waits and hard-to-reach offices leave people unsure what happens next, so small problems turn into bigger ones.
WheelHouse Health was created to change that: time to listen, easy ways to stay in touch, and care that goes where patients need it, by video, in clinic or at home.
