How to use it

How to use the savings calculator

  1. Step 1

Pick a membership or enter a monthly amount.

  2. Step 2

Choose your federal tax bracket, and tick Virginia tax and payroll contributions if they apply.

  3. Step 3

See your estimated yearly savings and effective cost.

How it works

How your savings are worked out

  1. Yearly cost

The monthly membership price × 12.

  2. Your tax rate

Your federal bracket, plus 5.75% if Virginia income tax applies, plus 7.65% if you contribute through payroll (Social Security and Medicare).

  3. Tax saved

Yearly cost × your tax rate.

  4. Effective cost

Yearly cost minus tax saved. For example, Standard Hybrid ($1,560 a year) at 22% plus Virginia tax saves about $433, for an effective cost of about $1,127.

The calculator also checks the 2026 HSA limits for direct primary care: $150 a month for one person, or $300 for the Family / Group plan, and warns you if the amount is above them.

Next steps

Before you pay with an HSA or FSA

Basic Tele-Health ($85) and Standard Hybrid ($130) are below the $150 monthly limit for one person. Family / Group ($360) and Premium Concierge ($500) are above the limits, so they may not qualify for HSA payment, and paying for them from an HSA could affect your ability to contribute. An FSA may still work.

Visits, labs and many medicines are usually eligible medical expenses on their own. Keep your receipts, and confirm with your plan administrator or a tax adviser before you rely on these numbers.
