How it works

How your readiness score works

  1. One point per check

Each of the ten items you tick adds one point to your score.

  2. Location comes first

If you will not be in Virginia during the visit, the check asks you to sort that out first, whatever your score.

  3. Ready at 8 or more

With 8 or more items in place and your location confirmed, you are ready for a smooth visit.

  4. Tips for the rest

Anything you did not tick comes back as a short, practical tip.

Understanding your result

Set up for a great video visit

A few minutes of setup means more of your visit goes on your health, not the technology.

Light in front of you

Face a window or lamp so your clinician can see you, and any skin concern, clearly.

Camera at eye level

Prop your phone or laptop up and charge it before you start.

A private spot

A closed room or a parked car keeps the conversation private.

Your details handy

Medicine list, allergies, pharmacy and any home readings with dates.

Your top questions

Write down two or three so nothing important is missed.

Photos if asked

Send skin or wound photos through the patient portal, not by text.
