Virginia rules
Where you need to be for a telehealth visit
Telehealth follows the rules of the state where the patient is. Lydia is licensed in Virginia, so you need to be physically in Virginia during your visit. That includes people visiting Virginia, and it rules out joining from Maryland or DC, even if you live in Virginia.
Within Virginia, it does not matter whether you are in Woodbridge, Leesburg, Richmond or the Shenandoah Valley. You can join from home, a private room at work or a parked car.
Some medicines, including certain controlled substances, have extra rules and may need an in-person visit or monitoring first. If that applies to you, we will explain the safest way to get started.
Cost
How much does telehealth cost?
Prices are the same wherever you join from in Virginia. Labs and medicines are paid separately.
