Inside the Beltway
Annandale grew up along Little River Turnpike (Route 236), where it meets Columbia Pike and Backlick Road, with the Beltway on its western edge. Its downtown is often called Koreatown, and Northern Virginia Community College’s oldest and largest campus carries an Annandale address. It is a community of many backgrounds and many generations.

Clear explanations, at your pace
Good care depends on understanding. Lydia M. Wheeler, NP-C, explains diagnoses, medicines and lab results in plain English and checks that the plan makes sense to you before the visit ends. You are welcome to include a family member, or anyone who helps with your care, in a video or clinic visit. Members can message afterwards if something is unclear.
What we can help with
- Diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol, with home readings reviewed together
- Lab results explained line by line
- Family and preventive care, including the screenings recommended for your age
- Skin and allergy concerns
- Medication reviews for people taking several medicines

Getting the most from your visit
- Bring your medicine bottles, or a photo of each label, including vitamins and herbal products.
- Write down your main question first, so it gets answered even if time runs short.
- Have recent results or home readings to hand.
- Invite a family member to join if it helps you remember the plan.
- Ask us to repeat anything that is unclear. That is what the time is for.
Getting to the clinic, and nearby ERs
The clinic is about 15 miles away, usually by the Beltway or I-395 and then I-95 south to exit 160. Plan around rush hour, or book a Saturday.
In an emergency, call 911. Inova Fairfax Hospital on Gallows Road, just across the Beltway, is the closest hospital ER and Northern Virginia’s only Level I trauma center. Inova Alexandria Hospital on Seminary Road is also nearby.
Neighbors: Springfield, Burke, Vienna and Falls Church.
