Why patients choose us

Why choose WheelHouse for IV therapy

Safe from the first drop

We check your history, medicines and vital signs before every infusion, and adjust or say no when an IV is not the right choice.

Clinicians, not a spa menu

Your infusion is ordered by a nurse practitioner and given by licensed clinicians who know what to watch for.

In and out in about an hour

Most hydration drips take 30 to 60 minutes in a calm, private chair at our Woodbridge clinic.

How it works

Simple, quick and supervised

Here is what an IV visit looks like, start to finish.

  1. Book your visit

Choose a time online, or call or text us. Tell us what is going on so we can plan.

  2. Quick health check

We review your history and medicines and take your vital signs before anything starts.

  3. Relax while it runs

Sit back for 30 to 60 minutes while a clinician monitors you.

  4. Know what is next

Leave with simple aftercare tips and a direct way to reach us if you have questions.

Is it right for you?

IV therapy may help if you are

  • Dehydrated after a stomach bug, heat, travel or a long event
  • Struggling to keep fluids down because of nausea
  • Recovering from a hard workout or endurance event
  • Feeling run down and want a clinician to check you over
  • Low in a vitamin such as B12, confirmed by a blood test
  • Preparing for or recovering from travel across time zones

What is in a drip

Built for you, not off a menu

We start with hydration and add only what makes sense for you.

Often included

  • IV fluids for hydration (saline or lactated Ringer’s)
  • Vitamins such as B12, B-complex or vitamin C when appropriate
  • Anti-nausea medicine when prescribed
  • Electrolytes
  • Monitoring of how you feel throughout

When we will say not today

  • Signs of a medical emergency or severe dehydration, which need an emergency department
  • Some heart, kidney or liver conditions
  • Pregnancy, unless cleared by your obstetric team
  • Allergies to ingredients
  • A request we do not think will help you

What it costs

Clear prices, before you start

Start with a consultation. Pay per visit from $85, or use a visit included in your membership. If you go ahead with treatment, we give you the full price first, including any medicine, infusion or product, so there are never surprise bills.

We do not bill insurance. Many patients pay with an HSA or FSA card.

Common questions

IV therapy questions

Still wondering about something? Call or text us Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

No. Anyone can book an IV visit. Members can use their access to talk it through with Lydia first.

If you are dehydrated and struggling to drink, an IV rehydrates you quickly. If you are well and can drink, water and a balanced diet usually do the job. We will tell you which applies.

The evidence for wellness drips in healthy people is limited. We are happy to give one when it is safe, but we will not promise results the science does not support.

Most hydration drips take 30 to 60 minutes. Plan on about an hour for your visit, and we recommend bringing headphones.

Most IV visits happen in our Woodbridge clinic, where you can relax in a private chair while we monitor you. We also make home visits across much of Northern Virginia, so text us your address and we will tell you whether an at-home IV suits your situation.

Yes. If a blood test shows your B12 is low, a quick injection is often a better fit than a drip; see vitamin B12 injections. Glutathione can be added to some drips as an antioxidant; see glutathione and skin-brightening drips for what it can and cannot do.
