Day to day

How a family plan works in real life

  1. A sick day at home

A child wakes up with a sore throat. Book a video visit, show us what is going on, and we tell you whether they need to be seen in person.

  2. Back-to-school forms

Book school and camp physicals for everyone in one place, and bring the forms that need signing.

  3. A parent’s blood pressure

Regular check-ins and home readings shared through the portal keep a long-term condition on track.

  4. A teenager’s privacy

Teens can message us directly with the right portal privacy settings, which we talk through with you.

Is it right for you?

Signs the family plan fits your household

A family membership works best when several people need care through the year. If only one or two of you see a clinician regularly, compare it with the individual plans first.

  • You have children who need yearly physicals and forms
  • Someone in the house gets sick most months in winter
  • A parent or grandparent has an ongoing condition
  • You want one clinician who knows everyone’s history
  • Getting several people to appointments is hard
  • You would rather pay one predictable monthly price

Under rules that began in 2026, HSA money can generally pay for direct primary care memberships up to $300 a month for more than one person. At $360, the family plan is above that limit, so it may not qualify for HSA payment. An FSA may still work. Check with your plan administrator.

Ask us about adding members.

The plan is designed for people who live together, such as parents, children and partners. Tell us who you would like to include and we will confirm what works.
