Sports physicals
Sports physicals focus on heart health, past injuries, concussions and readiness for exercise. Tell us about any fainting, chest pain during exercise, shortness of breath, or a family history of sudden heart problems, which may need extra checks before playing.

How we can help
Our family membership includes school and camp physicals for up to four family members. We complete Virginia school forms and sports forms in clinic in Woodbridge. Book early in summer to avoid the back-to-school rush.
Questions people ask
Can a school physical be done by telehealth?
The physical exam part needs an in-person visit. Follow-up questions and form reviews can happen by video.
How often does my child need a sports physical?
Usually once a year, though requirements vary by school and league.
Which vaccines are required for school in Virginia?
Requirements are set by the Virginia Department of Health and change over time. We review your child’s record against current requirements.
